Is the "Best Value" Scale still the A&D FX120i ?

My bench looks similar to yours except I don't have the Chargemaster. Today I drop Varget just short of target with a Harrell's and then trinkle to the exact charge. As the Chargemaster isn't perfect, does it save any significant amount of time?
Ben

I have the same setup as Linko and it works pretty good. By the time I trickle the last bit of powder from the Omga, the chargemaster is finishing up. I have used the 1201 for about a month and absolutely love it.

I work long days so reloading when I get home isn't possible. So my new scale has been warming/stabilizing for a couple of days. Saturday I will do the calibration and start loading Varget my first 6BR rounds. What is a recommended starting weight of powder with Berger 105 VLD's I was going to start at 29.0 gr

well the first session using the new FX120i was a success. Now I know how inconsistant my loads were using the Chargmaster 1500. A wide variance between loads from the chargemaster. a few were spot on when dumped into the Fx120i but most were off quite a bit. (Varget).

now the groups I shoot will be all up to the shooter when they arent consistant. Very stable readings and quite quick to respond to kernels being added with the Dandy trickler. One more piece of very good equipment added to my reloading setup. I am a lucky guy.

The only major piece of equipment left for me to buy this year is a Benchsource annealer. Then its bullets and powder for the rest of the year!

I just got an FX-120i this week. How are you all setting it up with your Omega tricklers?

Are you taking one of the panels out from the wind screen, or not using it at all?

Any pictures on how you have it arranged would be appreciated. I use a Lyman DPS, then double check the weight on the FX. Tried a Lee perfect measure last year, but never got the hang of it to be very consistent, maybe give that another shot this year.

Thanks!

I'm in a very small closed off room . no drafts unless I move . I use mine without the shield . I just use the lee dipper spoons to get the bulk of my powder then trickle up .

Linko , I sure like mine .

I remove a panel yes , provided you are not setup anywhere near a draft source you should'nt have an issue with only one panel removed..
