In the hay days Remington did..........Amazing that gun manufacturers besides Savage are not making them. Are most building their own or having a smith assembling all the components?
if you are trying to stay on a budget, get a Savage target action for a single shot or a model 10 repeater action for mag feed. i prefer the Target action., get a prefit 1 in 8 twist barrel from Criterion or Shilen. headspace gauges and do it yourself. shoot 80 to 108 grain bullets. Berger 80 FB are wicked accurateI’ve been hearing a lot about the 6mm BR and very intrigued with what people are saying. Are people purchasing a factory gun, having a smith build a custom or building their own? Not sure how to start or where to look.

I would start out by asking other shooters in your area who know of a great Gunsmith.I’ve been hearing a lot about the 6mm BR and very intrigued with what people are saying. This is so typicalI put one together several years back. Remington 700 action. Criterion barrel and a hs precision stock. Threw a load together and never looked back. Did not even have to do load work up. This was the first load i tried. Its a 5 shot group and as long as i hold still this is how it shoots.

is there a specific model 12 in your savage? I can't keep up w versions. but I know they are excellent shooters.Do not hesitate to get one. I have a savage Model 12 with a Kreiger barrel, and it will shoot lights out... if I do my part. Easy to tune up also. Digests lots of different loads.
I have 2 Urban Rifleman barrels with the action mounted in his Revolution stocks and thoroughly enjoy them - both are great shooters. Do give Brad a call. He will answer your questions and help you in your decision processTruly the best place to start is a 6br.
My advice would be to give me a call. I can supply you everything you need but the action to assemble it yourself.
My 6br barrels have done quite well. Put that together with either my Revolution benchrest stock or a chassis and Triggertech trigger and you have a very serious rig.
6br, it's my favorite cartridge.
Origin action
Urbanrifleman barrel
Stock of your choice.
Not really sure. I bought the gun usedis there a specific model 12 in your savage? I can't keep up w versions. but I know they are excellent shooters.

68-80 gr use N135I have a 6BR Norma.it shoots 105s and 108s very well, but I've not had any luck at all with any bullets 100gn and under.
Not really…manufactures seldom make factory rifles for non-SAAMI cartridges.Amazing that gun manufacturers besides Savage are not making them. Are most building their own or having a smith assembling all the components?
I have been shooting highpower rifle (XTC and Long Range) competitions for 25 years. 2-3 yrs ago I put a 6BR barrel on one of my guns and it was one of those experiences that made me think, “where has this been all my life?”I’ve been hearing a lot about the 6mm BR and very intrigued with what people are saying.
