6mm br or 6mmx47 lapua

In that case I think I will get myself a 6mm br and my son a 243 win. So for the action Remington 700 one of the better actions to go with. Is there a good source for the 700 action or should I look for a used one. Also is there a big accuracy difference between a trued action and not. Like I said for varmints and out shooting friends is a trued action necessary. Would you recommend it.
Depends how big the varmits are and how far they are. Also depends how good your friends are 8)

So I have what I am going to do for an action and what to do to it. Can some one tell me about 6mm br cartridge. Tell me about turning the neck. I think I want a no turn neck is this possible?

Wealth of info here:

The 6mmx47 lapua has was developed for accuracy in long range competition, more power than a 6BR and good barrel life. The 243 Win is hard on barrels and no guarantee for accuracy. Google 6mmx47 lapua, good info on Wiki. You can buy 6.5mm. 140 gr bullets for big game. It should be as accurate and easy to work up loads as a 6BR or 6 Dasher. The bad part is you can buy a factory 243 Win it, would cost about $550 have a custom barrel put on a factory rifle.

Don't get the 6.5x47 Lapua and the 6x47 Lapua confused. The former is a SAAMI case. The latter is a wildcat.

120-140 grain bullets for the 6.5. Mostly 95-108 for the 6.

i have both...the 6x47 lapua first. if i had done the 6mmBR first, i'd probably not done the 6x47 lapua. you really have to work at making the 6mmBR shoot bad. it just shoots small holes with just about anything. the 6x47L can be s little hard to tune. i had a 12 twist made to shoot 80 gr fowlers and does it ever! other bullet weights and various powders shoot but not as well as the 80gr. i can get 3500+fps out of a 28 in barrel. there is some wear however, so i tend to shoot it less often. the 6mmBR has as many rounds without the least wear and the accuracy continues to amaze me.

Not true...

... Neither the 6.5x47 Lapua, nor the 6x47 Lapua are SAAMI accepted cartridges.
