Is Reloader 22 worth it

Bruno's just got a butt load RL powders in and 22 was one of them i really really want some but its hard to swallow the shipping and the fee. If i allready have a but load 23 is ther big enough difference between the 2 to suck it up and buy some. All Constructive opinions considered

It works great in my 280 Rem under Sierra 140 gr Gamekings. I worked good in my 25-06 under Speer 120 SPBT too. If you're gonna dance ya have to pay the band.

Ill do the boogie woogie and pay the band all they want but if it isnt anybetter than 23 ill keep my money to dance the boogie woogie with another band when it comes time

Hammer YOU ARE THE MAN. So glad i saw this post. I was literally down to my last 40ish rounds worth of powder. RL22 has performed really well for me in my 270wsm which is my main hunting rifle. 40 rounds would have lasted me a little bit but i used to like to shoot a few groups each year just to stay tuned up and make sure i didnt have anything going on. Ive been shooting it ore sparingly. Just ordered 5lb of the 22 and 5 of the 19 for some load development on my 300wsm.

In my 300 wsm, rl22 worked well but was much more temp sensitive than 23, so i stuck with 23. There really wasnt any difference in performance between the two, just 23 never came out of tune much when temps went from winter to summer

I've used RL 22 in my hunting rifle, 300 WinMag and 180 gr NABs and I like the performance it provides. This load was worked up in cooler temps to mimick comparable hunting conditions. RL 23 is supposed to be more temp stable, so I would likely stay with what's working for you, unless you want a backup powder. :)

I have used RL22 for many years and have not had any issues with it, used in accurate hunting rifles. It is mostly used for magnum cartridges. It will supply fast and accurate loads. It is noted as being sensitive to temperature extremes so I have always tried to work up loads in the temperature range that they will be used in. When my supply runs out, I will probably look at what is available that will supply the same performance and hopefully be less sensitive.

As others have said, it will work very well for you in your intended cartridges. I have used it in the 6.5-06, 280, and 7RM myself. RL-23 is more temp stable, but I haven't seen it as available recently as I have 22. If you can get it, and you are looking for a good back up to your 23, then go for it.

I ve used it in 6.5x55, 270 win, 7 RM and 300 WM to name a few. It’s provided great accuracy and velocity.

I know everyone talks about temp sensitivity but if you use some sense on your load development, temps you ll hunt in, etc it’s a very good powder. Yeah if you want to develop a load that they ll often use from zero degrees to 100 degrees there’s more stable powders but do remember they ALL have some sensitivity when temps that Extreme. Some more than others.
