Reloader 22

Lee's Modern Reloading latest edition has load data for a 115gr jacketed bullet with COAL of 3.200"; starting at 45.8gr and max load of 52gr.

Years ago when H1000 and Retumbo were impossible to find, I tried R22, MagPro, and 7828ssc. R22 had the best velocity and good accuracy. I went with 7828 because I read that R22 had poor temp stability. I didn't test this myself....

7wsm, 300wm and 300 dakota.

Good Afternoon!
I have an opportunity to pick up some Reloader 22 at a good price. I have used other powders from Alliant but never RE22. I do have a 7mag and 300 win mag but I have been using primarily IMR 4831. I see that RE22 is slower. Has anyone used it enough to recommend it over or in addition to 4831?

Thanks!
Mark
Best thing I had for an older 300 WM with 180 Grain Nosler Partition. That gun never shot under an inch till one day I tried R22 and all of a sudden 5 shots in abut 3/4" never used anything else after that don't remember the load now but I do know it was 3050 FPS and was a max load and when you pulled the trigger it killed on both ends of the gun. Killed all my elk with that one load.
