Is CZ (Through Colt Canada) The Company Destroying Guns For the Canadian Gun Ban?

It seems ridiculous that Canada voted the commies in again - so willing to pay that ridiculous carbon tax.
I see a post this morning on FB from the indigenous people seeking to keep their rifles for traditional hunting. I wonder how many of them voted for Carney's WEF backed mob? Come on Alberta - lead the way!!
Was listening yesterday to an interview on Glenn Beck. Apparently, Canada is essentially two different countries, East and West. The East, far left, socialists. The western provinces from Sask. over are more like our northwestern states above Colorado. There is a mechanism through which a province in Canada can secede from Canada as a whole, amazingly enough.

Glenn Beck is exactly correct, East is total nonsense, West are overwhelmingly great people. I quit going to Canada several years ago because of the nonsense crossing the border. They expected to come into the US to buy cheaper groceries and goods without any hinderance, but it certainly wasn't that way in the other direction. Canadian booth person, "do you own guns?" Yes. "Do you own pistols?" Yes. "Where are they now?" In my home. "where in your home?" I didn't answer which got me 2nd inspection at which point I reported them. I got grief every time I crossed, even got a new license plate to see if that would help, nope, I was flagged as a gun owner with a CPL, also happened to have a badge but that didn't matter to socialists.

If anything helps divide a nation it’s having it bilingual. Now take it to an extreme. Quebec has a law which states All signs must first be listed in French which must be on top and in a larger font. ( McDonald’s drove them nuts with garbage contained which said ‘PUSH’ on the lid. Can’t have that the ‘language’ police said. McDonald’s complied by taping over the word.
And it is indeed two but really more countries in one. British Columbia is the most similar to the USA. The prairie provinces (Alberta by far) are very wealthy due to oil. Ontario is the controlling factor. Quebec is lost in a dream world that faded on the zPlains of Abraham in 1759 . The Maritime provinces have suffered greatly financially. Newfoundland is the poorest of the 10 provinces followed by NovaScotia ( where I’m from originally) and they have a say in nothing whatsoever.
The Canadians elected another Liberal party prime minister mainly because of an unfounded hatred of Donald Trump. Even the Canadians had enough of Trudeau but a stupid unfounded hatred of Trump secured his party would continue.
Sad state of affairs that true Canadians will suffer. Before I piss off various Canadians on this site I’ll say I hold dual citizenship mainly because I thought at 17 years old coming to the States and joining ( obviously not drafted) the US military and going to VietNam sounded like an adventurous thing to do. There a reason only the young go to war.

How in the world does a Ruger #1 get on that list.

Probably the same way that California declared that bullet buttons make an AR fully automatic, a pistol grip allows you to shoot faster, and a flash hider makes it impossible to locate where a shooter is - Politicians operating outside their envelope of knowledge.

This is exactly what happened to a couple friends a month or so ago. Probing, intrusive questions beyond, "do you have any firearms with you?" Asked about how many guns, do you have CPLs. My buddy and his sweetheart are mellow people but they don't tolerate fools very well. They politely declined to answer the irrelevant questions. They were moved aside and the vehicle and personal belonging were searched. After a couple hours, they were denied entry to Canada. For no reason. The sad thing is they were going up for the funeral of a friend.

It hasn't been that long ago that the Canadian officers were "Officer Friendlies" and coming back the US officers could be harsh. Still no big issues. Just answer the questions, which were indeed relevant, and be on your way. Now it feels like border crossings during the cold war. I have no issue with most of the Canadian people, but their government is off its collective rocker. It will be a long time before I set foot in their country again - if ever. Canadian traffic down here has gone way down. Businesses just North of here are hurting without the traffic. This stuff is a real problem. Historically the people of WA and BC were good neighbors. Those days are gone.

Unfortunately that is true with me. My entire family and many relatives still live in Nova Scotia. I didn’t go this year.
More unfortunately I have no intention of ever returning for a visit.
There are three graves of friends ( all killed in VietNam) that I visit and place American flags. This year I mailed the flags to my brother who will place them.

They want to make sure you have very little to fight back with when they come for ALL your firearms. And will probably be a Muslim police force coming to get them.

I used to go up into Manitoba to fish. I canceled out this year because of what I experienced last year. I flew into Winnipeg and spent a couple days. Homeless people everywhere. Kids doing drugs on the streets. My taxi was “attacked” for no reason at a stoplight by a young couple that were high on something. The driver said it happens a lot. He said the place was going down the crapper. I couldn’t argue with him. I won’t be going back. I can go Red fishing in Louisiana and spend my money in the U S.

Does anyone know if this the same CZ that bought Vista? Just got an email that RL15 & 23 are available... for $76/pound. o_O

Wondering how this all jives if, in fact, it does.

I boycott any thing Canadian , I don't like Canadians !!!!!
Not speaking for myself here, as my wife is an ex-pat American, but most Canadians reciprocate your feelings.
Americans are stereotyped as arrogant braggarts, whereas Canadians are supposedly overly polite and self-deprecating.

Supposedly...

I've spent plenty of times on both sides of the 49th parallel, and we're much more alike than we are different.

You're not pissing me off by telling the truth.

In March 1970 I went to Ogdensburg to volunteer for the Marines but my proviso was that I join as a Canadian and was told that it would take a year for that to happen.
