Is anyone using UNIS Ginex primers yet?

It appears that US companies are committing slow motion suicide by not meeting the demands caused by the political shortages.
This gives the Europeans opportunity to get their products established in the US market usually at lower prices.
Totally agree, were iam there's been a shortage of small pistol for the last 6 months unless you want to pay a premium. I started useing the S/B small pistol in 9mm but now they are gone also.. The only American made small pistol I find are magnum only at decent prices.. Small rifle has started making a come back slowly.. Its crazy, 6 months ago they were plentiful.

I know this is an older thread but thought I'd add something. After a number of powder testing sessions at the range where I used CCI and Ginex LR primers there was some interesting observations. With CCI 200, my speeds were higher than Ginex and ES/SD numbers seemed to vary. When Ginex LR primers were used in the same loads, velocities dropped 100 fps but ES/SD numbers were single digit in every load but one which had an ES of 16. Saw this back in the summer also but just blew it off as coincidence. Also, my groups stayed under .5 except one that was .6. Also noticed thinner or softer cups showing pressure sooner than CCI. I'm sold on them.

After finally figuring out a way to seat the blasted things, I have shot the LR primers in a 30-06. They have shot less than 1/2 inch at 100 yds with 58 gr of H4350 and both 150 Btips and 155 Berger VLDH bullets, at about 2970 fps. I don't pay much attention to ES and SD numbers, as long as the groups are small. It is nice to have low deviations, but how many points do you get for that in a match?
Since overcoming the seating problem, I wish I could find more.

I forgot to mention that. I use an RCBS ram prime to seat them as they are tight fitting

Weird lol....I had just the opposite, I had back my powder charge down after switching from CCIBR2's to the Ginex.

They sure are a pita, but work well from my limited testing.

I bought the RCBS bench mounted ram seater. After getting all the nuts and bolts tightened up and using the exact RCBS shell holder, everything fell into place. I had been intending to get one for years because one of these days, my old Lee hand held tool is going to go belly up

Old thread but I'll add my 10c...
It's moaning about the size that has probably stopped someone importing more when we all needed primers. That and COVID, plus, I suspect, the internal tensions in Bosnia,,,,
I had a post on these in threads in March this year and again in November. Easy forum search by my name and the subject Unis Ginex.
They say they (LR anyway) are bigger right on the label. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not. I've never had a problem in 300WM or 338 Lap, only *some* 308Win cases, notably IMI Match, which are notoriously tight in the first place.
But they are *great* primers. Shoot incredibly accurately. And... if you actually research the manufacturer's website, these guys know their primers.
Wish I could buy more.

I did a comparison between the Ginex and Wolf LR primers in my 284 Shehane and there wasn't enough difference to mention. As far as I'm concerned, they are a direct replacement for the Wolf.

I've been using these in my Mosin Cases , ( S&B , Win ) when the primer pockets get loose , for five years now . They shoot no different than S&B , and I didn't have to change my load when using them , either . Same FPS average and actually lower SD . When I mentioned them before , all I heard was hard to put in . Over-sized . I use a R.C.B.S. A-2 with primer attachment , and they go in firm , but they go in . Since they're good quality , and cheaper , I guess Brandon will ban them next . Sssshh ! Maybe they'll be to busy trying to put us all in Lockdown again , they won't notice .
