Went and done it........

I tried some of the LR variety. Primer size seemed to be all over the place. I usually use Tula LRM which is fairly large, but quite a few of the Genex wouldn't seat deep enough and left the primer setting proud. Tried to finish the seating using the Rockchucker press and it just flattened the primer. They all went bang.

I read another "review" stating that he had the same problem with the SR version.

I hope you have better luck than I did.

Just passing along some personal experience with Ginex primers . . .

I ordered a couple of mixed cases for stock in my shop - the price was right and most of my customers are very price-elastic. One of my customers bought 1K of their small rifle magnum primers for his .223. He brought them back about a week later along with some cases he had tried to prime. He said he couldn't get them to seat. I noticed that he was using LC brass and wondered whether he had dealt with the crimp sufficiently. I took a sleeve of the primers into the back and tried to seat one in a Remington commercial case on an old Rockchucker. I may be old, but I am not yet feeble and I couldn't get the primer to seat. I applied way more than unreasonable force, no joy. I measured a few and that lot of SRM primers was quite oversized.

The wholesaler took them back without a problem and mentioned that they've had similar feedback from a number of other retailers.

Here's hoping the the large rifle primers are not similarly afflicted.

During my research I think I read the same thing, have not seen anything like that with LRP. FWIW, I have some small issues priming LC cases with WSR primers, too.
