One thing that came up (I think) towards the end of the original thread was a post about how to go about doing this sort of checking *without* a frozen scope, since those seem to be in pretty limited supply. Something about testing two scopes, see if one moves... if it does, swap in a third to see if it was the first or second scope that moved, until you have one 'known good' reference optic. Is that about right? Or does someone have the original thread commentary stashed somewhere and can look?
