Iowa F-class

I'd really like to shoot F-Class. Anything near eastern Iowa I can make it to in a '89 F150 Ford?

Van meter Iowa has some 600 yard matches throughout the year. not sure of anywhere else in Iowa. lacrosse wisconsin also has multiple 600 yard matches through the warm months.

Van Meter, IA (just west of Des Moines) has 600yd Fclass match in April and the State Championship in September program will be listed on accurateandreliablerifle.com. Not yet posted.

Milan, IL across from Davenport has several combined sling and fclass matches (600yd) throughout the year will be posted at milanrifle.club. Not yet posted.

A 10 State schedule of sling and F-class matches in Illinois and the surrounding states will be posted in March at illinoishighpower.org.

mrra.org (Minnesota Rifle and Revolver Association) will have posted Dakota, MN, WI, and some IA matches.

winnequahgunclub.org (Lodi, WI) has many of their matches listed on their schedule (midrange and long range)

Thanks guys, that gives me a start. Milan is just a short hop across the river and I had planned on shooting sling matches over there this year. I didn't know they were doing 600yd F-class. That will be cool if they are. I can probably swing Van Meter as well as that isn't too far for my old truck. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled for the dates as they come up. I don't figure I'll be a threat to win, I just want to play!

My wife maintains a pretty comprehensive calendar of upper Midwest matches posted here, the Iowa matches will be added once she receives them.

The site also has articles, match reports and pics from past matches, along with a lot of other info. She sends out a weekly newsletter during the shooting season (roughly April-October) that you can subscribe to, if you like. It has been pretty well received by the shooters up here.

I didn't know they were doing 600yd F-class. Most ranges combine sling and F-class for matches.
