I wrap the wool around a parker hale jag and dispose of the wool after, no need to clean it.I've found bronze wool wrapped around a brush increases the effectiveness of brushing.
But, for me, the huge downside is how to get the brush/bronze wool clean after scrubbing. Even a bunch of brake cleaner doesn't get everything out - and I really don't like spraying lots of that stuff in my basement.
I hope you are joking, you think bronze wool will enlarge the bore of a stainless steel barrel? So you only use felt patches and liquid, no abrasive or brushes i guess?Are you trying to get a larger caliber? LOL
Yes I am, after so many of these post it really starts to get old though. I'm sure you know.
