IOR Valdada

Not sure if the original question was ever answered or not. The old IOR scopes used Hensoldt glass for their lenses. IOR provided all scopes for the old Russian military and were manufactured in Bucharest RO. They were and are excellent glass. They are also a bit high priced. Mr. Valdata came along when the wall came down and bought into the company I believe, and got the exclusive export/import rights for the product line. BUT IOR continued to make excellent scopes. I was stationed with the UN in 1995/96 in western Romania, and came across these scopes from time to time. I may be completely wrong about everything I just wrote, but at the time that's what I was told. I would not hesitate to own one of them, but I can't afford it yet.
The current ones use schott ed glass i do believe

THE 10-60x56 40mm PRECISION XT SCOPE, IS THE ULTIMATE INSTRUMENT FOR ULTRA LONGRANGE SHOOTING. IT IS MANUFACTURED USING THE FINEST LD (LOW DISPERSION) GLASS IN THE WORLD: SCHOTT, GERMANY.

Before you decide, do the "Deep Dive" on the Valdada Recon G-2 4.8-30x56. The design of the scope with the 40mm tube & 150min of internal adjustment paired with the Shott glass internals and the Jap. glass optical ( Nightforce Comp.) make for quite a package. These scopes come out of Texas with good customer support. I have one on an MPA chassied 300WSM with a 15min rail and the Val. 25min one piece mount. I can get out there quite a ways.....

Regards
Rick

Hey guys,
I am a dealer for Valdada. I have a couple Recon G2's and the G2 Mini just came out, acquired 2 of those and have a couple different ones than those.. I sell quite a few of them to the guys, the last G2 I sold was to a gentleman on this forum, he called back and was delighted out of his mind. He kept saying it is SO Clear that he can now see through a scope. I will get them for you at dealer cost should anyone want to do that. I can also provide reticule pics for the Op....Happy to help.

I own 3 IOR. I love all of them. The Spyder on my 375 Cheytac served me well. Tracks precisely and glass quality is phenomenal. I have the older 3.5X18X42 Tactical on my 308. I had it since 2009 and it flawless. Just purchased the Crusader for my new 416 Barrett build. If in doubt call Val from IOR.
