IOR Tactical 6-24x50

Hi all
I'm new here just registered. I'm thinking of getting the IOR 6-24x50mm illum MP8 reticle scope and wanted to know first, up to what kind of range one could be comfortable hunting caribou and smaller.?

as far as one can reliably put a bullet in the vitals...and deliver enough energy to take the animal down.

that is about as good an answer you'll get with a general question like that
