Internet Sellers and Customer Accounts

Call me paranoid that's fine. I am about fed up with companies that require that I create an account in order to purchase from them. Midway refuses to delete my personal data even after I choose not to do business with them. They make these wonderful claims about how it will make it easier for me to to business with them. I see no upside, only down sides.

Consider... the government is constantly changing how they interpret regulations. The more recent; bump stocks, FRTs, and soon braces. We have a president that is chomping at the bit to outlaw semi-automatic firearms. This week he said it was "assinine" that we are allowed to buy these types of firearms. The Democrats proposed a bill last year out lawing ALL semi-autos, including shotguns. The only one exempted in the bill was 22LR.

With each new regulation comes the desire for enforcement. I hold out New York and the ban on 80%s as an example. NY went after two companies and strong armed them into turning over records for all sales to customers in the state.

None of these regulations and concerns may affect you today, but one day they might. I'd bet my retirement that there are some in government saying "no one needs to shoot a mile"

IMO firearms companies and firearms parts companies should not be keeping *any* sales records beyond what is legally required. I'd gladly shop at the LGS if it was an option, even if I had to pay more....

rant over

Couple of years ago i was looking for Norma MRP powder.
None locally (100 miles) in PA.
While in MD visiting my sister stopped at a shop and they had it. Took to the counter to ring up & they asked for my ID.
Appearantly it wasn't my age they were worried about.
Girl said MD keeps records of gun, ammo, and component purchases.

Canada is right now on the verge of outlawing ALL semi auto magazine fed centerfire rifles. Add in some 40 odd others for kicks too.
I'll post links later.

The democraps are trying very hard to turn our country to communism. And they have to disarm us first. These gun laws are not for any other reason. Your right too many records are being kept by sellers and the gov has access to them. When you fill out a background check to buy a new gun the gov knows that you bought a gun.

Don't want to be the conspiracy guy here, but there are huge, HUGE, data collection centers being built across the country. They are collecting EVERYTHING they can, starting with every cell phone call conversation. They show as corporate ownership but news flash certain alphabet agencies start their own companies to be discrete.

At the risk of making this political, if and until Republicans get off their butts and go to the polls, the Dems will hold all the cards. Example, in Pennsylvania, there are 3.5 Million registered republicans and 4 Million plus registered Democrats. The recent U.S. Senate election was one by Fetterman, 2.7 million versus 2.4 million for Oz. This means 1.1 Million registered republicans didn't bother to vote or voted for Fetterman or a fringe candidate. Like Pogo once said, "We have met the enemy and it is us".

I don't mind at all being labeled a "conspiracy theorist" because I learned who invented
it and why.

Edward Snowden warned all of us, that this has been going on for some time now.
Chicken Little was right first ! No one chose to listen, Anti conspiracy theory agencies were formed a LONG time ago, Most of them directed by lawyers or worse. BRAIN WASHING is what it used to be called, Now conditioning is a much gentler kinder description. Look at us keyboard jockeys most of us know better than to stick our necks out in the real world, We've been conditioned too

Yea, it's like I hear some say "well it'll be O K. Don't work about it. You can't change it" I call B S on that. If our lazy A$$ population would go vote and try to change things it could happen.
