Instructional Video for a Lab Radar

I recently purchased a used Lab Radar and have read the manual. Still have a lot of questions on the operation of it.
When I first started to use it, I did so without an external trigger and it worked just fine. Now it only seems to work with one. Some users have said that I have it set up in the wrong mode. Double checked and everything seems to be set up correctly.
Also, is there any way to go back and view your previous shots? Say I want to delete shot 3 out of a five shot string.
I have done the software update, think there is only one.
I would like to use it in the all radar mode, is my bottom line. I use a line of sight aiming tool to set it up. Use a .30/06 casing without a primer and use it like a peep sight.
I feel as though I am not using the full potential of the unit. And no, I don't want to purchase a Garmin.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I have never used an external trigger on mine (very early unit). I admit I have lost some shots but very few compared to the number of recorded shots. The unit is sensitive to alignment and settings for the distance from the sensor to the barrel. Lots of settings so you may have something set incorrectly as far as not being able to trigger without the external trigger.

Does your unit have the memory chip in it? If yes then you can download the CSV file to your computer and modify the file to eliminate the particular shot. If no then the internal memory is quite small (maybe at most 10 or 20 strings of the latest strings). The shots can be viewed by calling up the CSV files for the strings your interested in. If you got the memory chip in it you have enough memory for up to 1000 strings of 1000 shots each, so plenty of memory.

I have added one of those simple plastic sighting devises to my unit and it seems to work fine for both rifle and handgun measuring.

One of what I think is a major benefit of the LR compared to the Garmin and copycats is with them you get one reading for each shot. The LR gives you readings for muzzle until the bullet hits the backstop, ground or the unit looses it. On a 50 yard handgun range I get an average of 105 readings for each shot, an average of one reading every 18 inches. Calculating bullet efficiency is very interesting. The same is true for rifle, depending on bullet size I get an average of 50 readings for a 30 caliber bullet on a 100 yard range.

PM me if you have any specific questions, I'll do all I can to help you get the most from your machine.

Edit: I didn't answer your title question. Yes LabRadar has created several videos (basic). They were on the LR sight and I think them and a few other on YouTube. I haven't been on the LR sight for quite some time so I can't say for certain that they are still available.

I have tried two memory chips and it errs for either one.
Do not know what a CSV file is or where to find it.
What size are the SD cards you are trying to use? There is a 16GB max limit on the SD card and if you install a larger size card it errors out. I learned this from personal experience.

I never had much luck with the phone ap but it may be possible to do some of what you are wanting to do there. If you really want the data I think you will need to get the SD card issue worked out and download the data to a laptop. I do know people that have done that with success.

My SD card is 16GB, bought it when I bought the LR. CSV file is Comma Separated Variable file. Can be loaded into most any of the spreadsheet programs. Can also be used by RSI Shooting Lab software. I'll look into the Shooting Lab Software if I can find anything about it.

I checked YouTube, lots of LR videos on setting it up/using it etc.

Put the card in a computer/tablet, and reformat it. Then try it in the LR.

Are you using the LR app on a phone or tablet? It has much better interface than the LR unit itself. Makes things a lot easier (if you can keep it connected.)

Using the Labradar App on an iphone is a significant advantage over operating it without the iphone.
All your controls and readout are on the phone, and you can look at shots and data without moving from your shooting position.

I recently had a chance to use a Garmin, and was surprised that the owner had to stand up and reach up to the Garmin to start a new series, or look at data. I am sticking with my Labradar. With the trigger it very seldom misses a shot.

1. When in standard mode (not armed) there should be a list of series (001, 002, 003)... Each of the series contains the shots recorded for that series. Use the up/down triangle buttons to select the series...

2. Now you are presented with all the shots in that "series"... In this example, series 002 has 69 shots.

3. Use the buttons to scroll and find the shot you want to delete. Say you want to delete shot 0065...

4. Once the shot you want to delete is highlighted, select the Delete (Trash Can) button and you should be presented with a confirmation screen.

5. Use the down arrow button to change the confirmation selection to "Yes". Then select the 'check' (ok) button to delete.

6. Once shot is deleted, you should be back on shot view with the list of shots. Notice shot 0065 is deleted and no longer listed.

repeat the steps to delete other shots in the series...
