Inline seating die blank - suggestions?

I am having a 25-06AI built. I'd like to send an inline seating die blank to the gunsmith so my seating die will be reamed with the same reamer as the rifle's chamber. My preference is for a micrometer seating die.

Anyone got any suggestions on which brand seating die blank to use?

TIA

I think L.E. Wilson can help. I'm a big fan of their chamber type bullet seaters. Best concentricity / length to ogive I've found (of what I've tried anyway. I stopped trying when I found them. :) )

^^^^ Just as Bob said.... all of my seater dies are Wilson blanks cut with my/the reamer used to cut the chamber.

Just thinking out loud.... sizing same size as the chamber is prolly good for accuracy, but maybe not for feeding / cycling rounds. Had any problems there?

It sounds like they are using them only for seating, and my uneducated guess would be probably neck sizing for resizing.

Your brass is sized before seating in an inline seater. Chamber reamer makes a nice seater die. Wilson makes a nice stainless micrometer blank.

I love Wilson as well but 21st century makes some crazy good in-line die blanks as well.

I like 21st Century stuff. I just emailed Pete at 21st Century, and, unfortunately, they don't sell die blanks.

In fact, out of all the companies selling seating does, only one - Wilson - sells a micrometer inline seating die blank. And, a Wilson die blank is a good choice, so I have no problem with that.

I guess my decision is easy to make because I have no decision.

Sorry about that. I know they do the custom dies but I thought I had seen die blanks as well.

No problem FCJ.

I find it odd that a company that offers custom made dies, won’t sell die blanks to gunsmiths. Whatever.

Wilson seater die blanks get good reviews, so I’m happy to give them my money
