When I ordered my First IP trickler when they first came out it did indeed ask if you wanted the full trickler with the motor or if you wanted the upgrade kit for an AUTOTRICKLER which stated it used the motor from the AT. By doing that you saved the price of the motor. When you clicked on the option bar it came up and stated the above and you had to make a choice and click on one or the other.

Let’s level set this and clarify somethings.
I am talking about the Full IP systems upgrade for users who had the V3+IP disk trickler.
At some point IP offered the stepper motor only for the disk trickler kit for the V3. Ive had the v3 + IP for quite a while.

The order form for the Full IP system upgrade, an additional stepper motor was never offered. The order form for that has been the same since December of 2023.

So are you saying they didn't send an extra stepper motor in the newly purchased Full IP Upgrade kit, for the IP Trickler you already had?

V3 system requires and comes with 2 steppers
IP disk trickler for V3 did not come with a stepper motor and used the V3 trickler which in that case, completely fine since it replaced the V3 straw trickler.

The IP full system upgrade kit requires 2 steppers and only comes with 1. Forcing the customer to take the stepper from their V3. Making the IP an incompletely kit.
After purchasing the upgrade kit for the full system the customer should have 2 separate system that can fully function given then have 2 scales. Considering they paid for 2 systems.

1st being the original V3
2nd being the IP now that they have the upgrade kit.

Not sure how much clearer I can make this. The stepper needed is not “extra” it is literally a requirement to complete the system.

The IP full system upgrade kit is only coming with the IP Bulk thrower, control box and wires, not the IP trickler ( that is because if you order this kit its assumed you have a working IP trickler already and only need the Thrower, electronics box and wires) I don't see why you expected an additional motor, as long as the bulk thrower came with a motor you received what any logical person would have expected to received from reading description and placing the order. I have yet to see anyone else come to the conclusion you have. I received just what I read I would receive in the ordering process. You ordered the first IP trickler without the motor if I'm understanding you right. At the time Paul was selling just the trickler there was a choice to buy it with a motor or without, it sounds like you chose to buy it without a motor. Anyway he has the motors on his website for cheaper than you will find the anywhere, I purposely added an extra to my cart back then just to have an extra.

Per Paul’s own words, he hasn’t sold the trickler with a motor until the recent past year or so.
This would have been after pre-orders for the full system came out and well well well after I had my disk trickler for the V3.
There are multiple folks disappointed/bummed in this aspect of the the order.

This was just to tell folks, if they were expecting to have a fully functioning V3 and IP system after getting upgrade kit, they will need to buy an extra stepper motor. He is also currently out of stock with these steppers.
I won’t be replying to this topic past this.

This stepper motor is compatible with an AutoTrickler / AutoThrow of any version. If you have a problem and you motor isn't running correctly, the problem is most likely not the motor itself. The motors themselves fail vary rarely and the problem is more likely the cable. Do not source a stepper...

No and it never has. I have 2 full IP setups. He only recently started selling motors but believe he is all out right now.

It was designed and marketed for mant years to simply swap your AT motor over to your new IP trickler which is what we all did for a long time.

If he doesnt have any you can always order one from AT. They are like $25. They have them in stock. I have 2 spares on hand I got from them a while back

If you buy the full kit all at once yes it does come with a motor for the trickler and one on the thrower, it has everything ready to run. If you pre purchased the trickler in the past and you are just purchasing the upgrade kit minus the trickler then no it doesn't come with an extra motor for the trickler but does have one in the thrower. It's pretty strait forward just as listed. I don't see why a person would expect a second motor with the upgrade kit... this last comment wasn't directed explicitly to you 7mmmag, it to another past comment from a member that started all this confusion. Again if you buy the whole kit it has everything ready to run... if you purchase the upgrade it's implied that you already have a working trickler and has everything else thats new for the system that wasn't out yet.
