Ingenuity sightings?

That's just for the initial throw. The trickler takes care of the rest.
Certainly, and if I'm going from 34 grains to 35 grains during load development, I would adjust the volumetric measure on the thrower. Or pour lots of powder into the trickler and wait longer and longer for it to bring the charge up if it works that way. On some throwers the trickler will start only when the powder weight is close to the final charge weight.

With the other throwers mentioned, one just changes the charge amount and the bulk thrower dispenses a bit more so the trickler has the same amount of work to do with each charge.

Well, I just use my phone and up the trickle amount whatever I want to increase. I never touch the bulk screw unless I change powder.

Read you little diatribe and decided to do a test.
All the info below is actual, absolutely NO cherry picking to make the numbers look better. When the two tests started I went with the actual results, so NO BS here.

EQUIPMENT:
V3 dropper, IP trickler with IP electronics package as sold by Paul (IP), A&D FX120i scale.
Initial drop set at 32.0 grains for both targets (34.0, 35.0 grains)
Powder was Varget
IP trickler was filled once at the beginning of both tests.

RESULTS

TARGET 34.0 grains TARGET 35.0 GRAINS

1: 34.0 gr 6.4 seconds 35.0 gr 10 seconds
2: 34.0 gr 7.9 seconds 35.0 gr 12.5 seconds
3: 34.0 gr 8.2 seconds 35.0 gr 11.5 seconds
4: 34.02 gr 8.1 seconds 35.0 gr 9.8 seconds
5: 34.0 gr 8.3 seconds 35.0 gr 11.3 seconds
6: 34.0 gr 8.1 seconds 35.02 gr 11.0 seconds
7: 34.04 gr 6.2 seconds 35.02 gr 9.6 seconds
8: 34.0 gr 8.4 seconds 35.02 gr 9.5 seconds
9: 34.0 gr 8.4 seconds 35.0 gr 11.5 seconds
10: 34.02 gr 6.8 seconds 35.0 gr 9.6 seconds

Read you little diatribe
Wasn't a diatribe.

I think we're talking past each other. My point is that the T3 and other workarounds, like a Lee or other manual powder throw, don't automatically adjust the bulk thrower, which is a thing in load development when one keeps adjusting the charge weight. Having the trickler substitute, as you showed, isn't a solution.

Each of the alternative solutions I mentioned do automated bulk adjustments.

The thing of it is that the T3 thrower needs to be manually adjusted to change the charge weight. Unlike the Autotrickler, Supertrickler, PP Trickler, and the promised-three-years-ago Ingenuity Powder System.

A nothing burger for cranking out a known load, but a blocker for load development.
I have owned and used an AutoTrickler (V3 & V4, still have the V3 and V4 as well as a V2), and a SuperTrickler (Ver 2), sold that POS. The initial charge weight adjustment that you praise on each of those is done by means of an app on a cell phone and has to be done when changing the desired end weight of the load. With the V3 and T3 the initial charge weight does not have to be changed, I simply change the desired end weight on the IP electronics and the IP trickler will trickle up to the desired end weight. This is what I did when moving from 34.0 grains to 35.0 grains. The initial charge for both the 34.0 grain load and the 35.0 grain was 32.0 grains of Varget. The average difference in time per throw works out to 2.95 seconds per throw longer.
Question if I might. Have you ever used a V2, V3, V4 or a T3 mated to an IP trickler?

I ordered mine December of 2023. I was told a couple of weeks ago that I should have mine by the end of the year.

I’ve been running a V3 with IP trickler since they first came out. Perfectly happy with it but kept reading about the IP electronics and watched enough videos that I was ready to try it. I’ve been on the pre order since the beginning as well but emailed Paul and asked him to send everything but the dumper. I finally got around to installing it this weekend. There’s gonna be a learning curve, as with all things but hey, it’s nothing a cordless Milwaukee vac can’t handle…IMG_7834.jpeg

Paul recently “sold” me on the IP controller to go with his IP trickler and a V4, I love it. Instructions are well written, designed intuitively. I’m getting about 7-9 sec per throw for a couple powders and very few overthrows. Thanks Paul!

Question for those getting the kit without the thrower
Is the base being printed plastic for the time being or that is what are we getting when everything would be available?
Other words the aluminum housing that other people have so far is not available?

JustDreaming on here sells a super solid housing that sits on your scales and supports the thrower (V4). The housing that comes with the V4 will work too.
