Info on Hickory shoot

I am looking to go to the Hickory shoot this coming spring but am wanting to find out some information about it. I don't really have any specific things I want to know other than how it's scored but am wanting any info I can get. It is about a 6hr drive for me so I want to make sure I am prepared. Thanks for any info you can give.

All I can say is take a team of 2-3 extra shooters with you and just one really accurate rifle. That's the only way to win. Those team shooters took fun jest of the shoot away.

no one really knows what the format will be until the week of the shoot. For many many years it was 3 shots at 100, 300, and 500 yards, worst edge scored. Last year, the day before the match, after practice was done he announced that targets would be at 205, 365, and 495. This definitely changed things up a good bit. You may be able to call them and get the format, but odds are it'll be near april before he tells. There's some really tough competition up there!! He gives no foulers so knowing your cold bore and 100 yard zero is really important. As stated above, pile five guys behind one rifle and you have a good chance. Some people get really upset about that, but i use the "if ya cant beat them, join them" mentality.

I SHOT THERE SINCE THE 80'S ITS FUN, YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT REALLY GOING HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
