In Search of Custom Dies

In search of a custom die maker that can make a Form die using cases that have already been formed from and RCBS die that is no longer made. I’m also looking for a custom Sizing die that can be made from a case that’s been fired 3x.


The cartridge is a 22 Squirrel.

The form die would be Paul B that advertises on this forum. He makes action wrenches, ring dies, form dies and all kinds ot things. He advertises in the classifieds here. For the custom die I would go with Whidden. Matt

Hornady makes custom dies for vary reasonable prices (50% over retail list price IIRC). They will work from reamer prints or fired cases. I like their elliptical expander - I get very low runout with it (as good as a mandrel without the extra step).

I've gotten custom seaters from Forster, but I think they will also make sizers. Their prices were higher than Hornady.

I have a set for my ppc's from Sid Goodling off my reamer that are my nicest. I have a nice set from Whidden for the 6bra off a reamer print with their click adjustable option that are a breeze to use and are all you expect from a custom die set. I had a N.Jones seater that i stupidly let go with the gun i should have kept.....Hate when that happens..
