I'm about to run out of H4895 for my 6BRA - 1-8 using 105 class bullets.
I searched to see if anyone had success with IMR 4895. I'm loading 30.7 H, wondering where I should start w IMR? I also have a couple pounds of Varget.?

When I got my 6BRA last fall I started with H4895 and IMR4895. I tested them side by side several times. They both shot good groups. The IMR velocity averaged 30 FPS slower with the same charge in both. I stopped at 31.2 grains. The velocity was right around 2900 in my 26" barrel.

I tried the imr 4895 at 31.2 and it shot great at 300 yd. I only loaded 3 rounds to test. So I will be testing more soon. One thing I noticed is you got to tap the case to get the powder to settle so you don't get a compressed load. We will see how it works.

HAPPY 4TH.
