Impressed with my bud's 7 mag

Load developing for my buddies 7 mag. I slapped some 140 Berger VLD's last year with some N560 and got lucky with a very short window of time to work with. It Grouped good and he got his mule deer.
He does get a chance to get an elk some times. The gun is a browning X-bolt with a VX-3 3.5-10 CDS scope.
i am now load developing again. This time with 168 VLD's hunting Bergers with Retumbo. i am very impressed with the first results of the OCW testing.
I have a 243 win, shooting 88 Bergers @ 3200FPS and i am happy with. The 7mm mag & 168 Berger numbers are freaking awesome in the wind deflection department. I have a BAR in 270 win that I cannot push the envelope with. Good, accurate, but plaes in comparison with the 7mm mag numbers.
i would like a dedicated windy day rig. My BAR could come kinda close with some 130 Bergers. But noticeably lacking compared to the 7mm mag#'s. Do any of you guys have 2 set ups like this? This x-bolt is going half MOA @ 100 yards so far early on. Not interested in saving pelts per-say. Just want to hit small, semi- moving targets in the wind at long distances. i need all the numbers on my side that I can get. What do you think? I am in the flat lands of Illinois.

I love my 7 rem mag. Old 30-06 700 I had opened up, placed a Sendero barrel onit, Mcmillan stock, 6-18 Leupold on it and with 150 NBT and a healthy dose of 7828 it shoots very well. Crushes coyotes and whitetail
