Pretty slick.Since I'm a safety guy, there's always a jack screw under one or both ends. -Al
Pretty soon the Wilton multi angle will be all you use and the standard vise will be on the shelf.I got one of those wilton vices.... That's going to be a super handy tool to have around.

What's a recommended sealer/paint for the exposed internal resin? I feel like it needs some waterproofing
Not sure I understand....I'd be wondering where that acetone went.
Kinda what I was thinking. It evaporated into the atmosphere seems logical to me.
Tide goes in, tide goes out, you can't explain that.
I'm sure it flashes off quickly. It only thinned out the mix for a few minutes. Long enough to butter the stock and action
That’s a cool finish on that stock.View attachment 1456972

Probably not, but you didn't quantify it in your original post. Nonetheless, it is something to consider. You've got a foreign substance that is not contributing to the final matrix or worse, degrading it.I'd bet it's entirely gone before the action is even fully inserted in the bedding. This is 3-4 raindrops of acetone in a 4-ounce mix. I'm not worried about it.
I was bedding a friends rifle and he wanted to help and better understand the process. When it was time to mix the bedding, I put both parts of Pro Bed on my mixing board and asked him to mix it. I turned around a minute later....it looked like he was trying to dismember a torso!Raises any air pockets or bubbles, too
