If 30" bbl is ok for a 6mmXC will still be ok for 6x284 ? In a std palma contour ? Measures .820 at muzzle .

Are you planning a re-chamber of the 6XC barrel or a brand new one for the 6-284 ? Either way 30" will work in the 6-284. That's what mine are/were.

Brand new bbl ,just received it from Brux yesterday. What loads have worked with yours ?

PM me and I'll send you some. Mine are in 12 twist. H-1000, VV170, VV165, WXR would be good to have on hand. 87 V Maxes,88 Bergers are my choices.

I don't see why not. Twist is more important in a 6mm than barrel length. You'll be working at a higher velocity node with the extra powder capacity anyway, maybe a shorter barrel (depending on your needs) would work better still?

Their is roughly 300 fps difference in my 24" BBL and my 29.5" BBL.
