Identifying a probable Remington Action?

So I picked this stock and action up at an auction for a descent price mainly for the stock hoping the action wasn’t glued in. Well sometimes you lose and that baby is glued in and side pinned. Anyway I’m pretty sure it’s a Remington, but I also don’t think it’s a 700. I figured I would just throw a barrel barrel on it but I figured I’d better ask somebody before I go screwing the wrong threaded barrel in. The action has no marking showing, and the bolt is a ppc bolt face.

Not a Remington but a close clone. The two side pins hold the trigger. Should be fairly easy to remove from the stock.

It doesn't look like a sleeved Rem. Looks more like a Rem bolt in a custom action body. Maybe someone will recognize it.

Possibly very early R.W. Hart. They used Ruger Bolt handles for a while early on. It does have the square tang. They still offer the spring loaded side bolt release for builds.

It’s the first spring loaded one I’ve ever had, was pretty funny figuring that out lmao.

RW Hart action age

Hey guys I have a RW Hart action and the only visible markings are the number 33. Is that the serial number? It has a coned bolt and is a PPC. It appears to be a parkerized finish on steel. Any information on this action would be greatly appreciated

As mentioned earlier, those pins retain the trigger...they have nothing to do with pinning the action into the stock. This was pretty common practice back in that time frame before trigger hangers were common on BR actions.

This is a sleeved Remington that I converted to a bolt in. Here's what the trigger pins looked like...the knurled knobs made it easy to removed the pins. I filled the holes as part of the stock work (second pic).

It's been 35 or 40 years since I've seen one of those, so I don't remember the specifics of all the different models. I remember there was a Model 1, and I think a 1A. I think there were another couple of actions in the lineup as well, but can't recall their specs. I know there was a Model 4 that was used for the early unlimited bag guns that mostly wore wood stocks and Unertl, Lyman or possibly a Remington (rare) externally adjusted scopes. Ring spacing necessitated the extended portion of the action. They were nice actions in their time and will likely do some quality work for you today.

Highly suggest you see a competent gunsmith to make sure headspace etc. is correct. I do smith work and I question what I see at front of receiver. The barrel doesn’t look right where it fits up to receiver.
