Idaho - heaven on earth?

Maybe Idaho is better, but property is expensive here! A guy that lives and works here can not afford land, barely a decent home. The income to cost of living ratio really is bad. Outside money has raised the price of sage brush out of sight. 1000yd range? Better have $$$. The realtors here market in Ca. where home values are high. They know they can over charge those people for some sage brush and they do, so now thats how it is. After you get done looking a property, look up the median income in the area. It may be surprising.

Got the same thing here in Delaware. New Jersey, New York and Maryland retiree libs are moving here to escape high taxes. Problem is they're bring their politics with them that beget more taxes! You can't fix stupid.

Ah, forget Idaho.
Turns out it's really cold in winter (I'm told), everyone is armed, it's dusty as heck, elk and deer everywhere, snakes all over and
mostly potatoes to eat.
And the bumper stickers are just basic.
Seeing your trailer hitch there reminds me of the joke of something about all cowboys have the same 2 inch “balls”!

B-I-L lives in Eagle, have visited 3 times. Rafted the Middle Fork of the Payette and Salmon, and stayed in Stanley at Redfish Lake Lodge. Hiked to Alpine Lake, and Fish Hook Creek; the Sawtooths are an absolutely stunning area. While I am not a fan of the equine species, the horseback ride above Stanley was worth every ache and pain. Visited the Hatcheries there and and McCall (on a separate trip). An Osprey couple nested over the outdoor ponds in McCall, and they were almost too fat to fly :D.
Drove to Yellowstone from his place as well, first time I ever saw 9’ bales of hay.
Going back this Spring.
GotRDid.
You know way more about this area than I do. Serious hay bales here in the valley, ranchers...
Middle Fork is truly wilderness I hear. I can't wait to explore. No cell service anywhere, even at house.

Dont know about Id, but MT could use some votes. To think elections in this state are even close is sad. But our big towns are full of dreadlocks. So if your on this site reading this, Mt. could use some of the right people.
I got here as fast as I could... originally a WV hillbilly that joined the military to escape. Lol

Staked to a leash all night? Too bad it was the dog instead of the neighbor...
Woah there fella... I had 160# Rottweiler for ten years that absolutely did not want to be in the house. No matter how cold. ( and I live in Montana). Used to sleep out in the snow in below zero weather even though he had an insulated dog house with a nice soft bed in it. If I brought him in (summer or winter) he'd be standing at the door ten minutes later wanting back out. Some dogs are just weird that way. Never had any trouble with burglars but the UPS and Fed-Ex drivers left my packages at the "C" store a couple hundred yards away. Funny...Jake never hurt anybody. Miss him. dedogs
