IBS back at Byers Updated with schedule.

I took over the match director spot for Byers 1k br. We will be going back to the IBS. The one thing about the way we shoot is that we won't be shooting 2-1 target matches but instead will be shooting one match that consists of 3 targets then a shoot off. I will be updating this thread as I get a schedule put together and have other news to share.

Now Colorado will have both IBS 600 and 1000yd matches.

If you have any questions, please ask on this thread since others might be wondering the same thing.

A great place to shoot. I would encourage shooters to go shoot 1000 yard BR at Byers. A great bunch of guys. And tough competition.

Two questions for you. Are you going to shoot 1K on Saturdays or Sundays. Can you please explain the three target format you referenced in your original topic?

Jim nailed it. I would actually prefer to shoot a 4 target agg. like 600 does...


We will be running matches on Sundays. We will also be trying to time the 600yd matches with the 1k on Saturdays before the 1k.

March 30th

June 14th and 15th State Championship

August 30th and 31st Money Shoot

?? You are shooting one match a Day and I count only 9 days of shooting or did I miss something because you can hold 10 IBS matches . Thanks for coming back to IBS

Yes you are right. We don't shoot matches like they are typically held. Instead of shooting one target per match we shoot 3 targets and the best wins the relay and goes to the shootoff. So we don't have enough time to shoot two matches. And yes we only hold 9 matches a year. I am going to see if our shooters will want to switch to the other format. But if we do the switch it probably won't be this year.

Nick you will have to change the dates for the money shoot or not have it IBS sanctioned. No long range matches can be held during the 1000yd or 600yd Nationals.

I sent Dick my schedule and I haven't heard from him so I don't know what to think. He told me the only way I'd have a issue was if I shot 600 cause I would interfer with the South Dakota matches.
