I`ve found the spot !!!

For the last four years I`ve been looking for the "motherload" of prairie dogs. I work on a oilwell sevice rig and travel all around central WY and I see & shoot small dog towns here and there all over. None are really big or populated well. I had never found a spot to be able to just park, set up, and shoot all day...Not till yesterday. This place is AWSOME. The main town is about five miles long and at least a mile wide in one place. I`ve never seen so many pd`s, not just that. I had to reposition my gun so there was no chance of hitting the elk with a ricoche bullet. I`ll have pic`s next time I go, the spot is at the base of the Absorka mts. just 60 miles from my house. I cant say exactly were its at but in the past I could not find a spot to invite fellow shooters to these parts to do some real shootin, can now...

I have the good fortune of living in alberta. There is a lot of farmland in my area that is overrun with p-dogs.It is not hard to go out and shoot a 1000/rd day in fact the problem here is i usualy run out of shells on a good day.The farmers love seeing shooters come out and try to clear up the problem but i dont think that going to happen any time soon. The problem here is so bad that most farmers even supply the shells which helps when i run out.I have been going to the same farms for the last 10yrs and still have lots of targets.

You lucky @#&%*!$#@?|+~$&#@!

patchhound,

Read your post of June 1 2008 about many Pdogs...I am going out that way
middle of Sept. to shoot pdogs & have a couple of spots, but must admit I am curious about your "find". Can you give some info, or can I make plans to shoot with you, etc. I hope to be near Hulette, WY. If this is a private "motherlode", understood. Gotta drive out from Connecticut to get the kind of shooting you folks enjoy in WY. Enjoy regardless!

PETA has started a propaganda campaign stating that prairie dog holes are good gor the environment as their holes trap water and add to the aquafer.

Get ready for them being put on some kind of no-shoot list.

You just gotta' watch out for fools that dress up as fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
