I received 200 Alpha 6PPC Cases

I finally got some of this.
The neck wall thickness measures .0136 to .0141, which is pretty good. The average lengths are 1.502. The base measures .4382. this is about .0006 under the regular Lapua 220 Russian, but should work fine in my chamber.

Everything else looks really nice.

This week, I will turn some necks for my .269 chamber and see how it handles the upper load window.
If this Brass performs as well in the Competitive Arena as the Lapua 220, this should really make life more simple for the 6PPC Shooters.

I watched Speedy shoot it at The Tack Driver, and was impressed. He did not say what his load was, only that he had used it in several Matches with really good results in agging capability and case life.

my initial experience with it wasnt great. It is an isolated thing I believe to do with my setup
Spanking new melonited bolt face that was a littl rough. I got some bad boltface swiping of the case head

After polishing my boltface it mostly went away. BUT some of it may be the bolt thrust too
I havent made my mind up completly on why it was doing this
As far as primer pockets they seem to hold up fine and the bullet feels like Lapua when seating bullets

That is what several had said after first firing. Then it goes away from them on. No more swiping.

I have 10+ firings on mine(.262 neck) no issues what soever. have shot as hot as 30.8 gns. 2002 n133
no case swiping, the .200 line still measures .4385(my chamber is .4402) have not had a clicker yet
I anneal after every firing
the body/sholder measures .4315 after firing (my chamber is .432)
for the foreseeable future I will e using ALPHA----the price is reasonable too

Read Pat's note on the bolt thrust on the initial firings. Seems like they have a slight swipe on the first firing but not on subsequent firings. Pat has a great write up on his monthly page about this brass. Also most will say not to fire light loads to set the brass for primer pockets. Speedy shot his full bore 30.2 N133 at a match and won. Took the same brass and fired in his HV and LV guns in Lubbock at 30.4 and maybe 30.5 and had ZERO issues with bolt lift or clickers. That 20 pieces of brass has probably around 30 firings on it from his practice rounds and competition in New Braunsfels to practice and all relays with both guns in Lubbock. I have that brass and primer pockets are still great and it still measures on spec. I plan to shoot this stuff to failure to see how far it will go. I have every case numbered and am going to document it and give the info back to Speedy.

The only difference is Speedy's chamber is .269 and mine is .270 so the necks will be a little different
