I really need a new front rest!

I believe it was mentioned a couple of times in the thread. I sold one to Gary Costello, the World Champion FClass Champion from the UK. He said he played with one of the Spanish teams Shadetree rest at the World Championship and wanted one. I sold 8 units to the Spanish team.
For the long range guys we are planning on having a bagtop for the 5" wide fore ends sometime this spring.

Fellas I have thought about this for days :P no seriously DAYS!! the wife is getting sick of it!! It's a JJ or a Fulghum (Randolph Machine) I like the Sebs and Farley's and I talked to Butch and he make a great rest also and I am going to buy one of his for my Caldwell to give a coaxial top a try and there are a dozen other great rests, if I shot short range point blank I would already have a Seb on the way but I don't shoot point blank, I line the X hairs up on the X and try to pull the trigger 10 times in around 30 seconds I am not a 19 second machine gunner like my friend Leo Anderson or Tom Mousel but maybe I could be with practice and the right rest, I think Tom uses a modified JJ (not 100% sure on that) but since I can't make up my mind I think I will order one of each and decide from there and give my smith the other one as a thank you gift for all his dedication and time in getting me to the first shoots of the year on time!
I will come back and let you know what I decided was the best of the two for my purposes, and thank you very much for all your time in helping me choose :)

I have decided that I will become your gunsmith. All I have to do is buy some equipment and figure out how to use it. I'll be in touch.

Rain164845,
I guarantee you don't wan't to be my gunsmith, he can't get one project done and I bring him three more, but somehow he always gets my son his son me and himself ready for the first shoot of the year and at the end of the season I always decide to change directions for the super shoot and he has to build me another rifle, he never bellyaches, the chips just fly and he hand delivers it if necessary. My son and I bought him a 12-42 NSX in time for the super shoot last year, he forgets he hasn't been my smith forever and I have not forgot what things cost but they never cost me much if anything so a scope or a rest once in a while is wayyyy cheap as far as I am concerned but if you insist Paul would probably enjoy the time off ;)

Wayne, the Super Shoot you mentioned. Is that the one in North Lawrence, Ohio? 100 and 200 yard benchrest. A friend and I went to the Shoot last spring to watch Walt Berger shoot.

Bill,
I just used super shoot for a lack of a better word, It is our championship shoot,,,,the August shoot.

Well, DANG. If you were going to THE Super Shoot, I was going to invite you to shoot some 700 yard groundhogs with me while you were in Ohio. :D

Man, I would love to do that!! I live in western Pa, but the super shoot is still only less than a 2 hour drive for me. I get shots here in Pa. sometimes out to 500 yards but rarely does that happen. I dont deer hunt anymore because basically the thrill is gone, but to shoot a chuck at 200 yards from shooting sticks is a rush!!!

I got four last summer over 700 yards from my portable shooting bench with my 243 WSSM Match. We got a couple shots at one just over 1000 yards - didn't get it but we scared the hell out of it. :)

I got a call yesterday,....My new Ken Fulghum rest sould be delivered tomorrow morning ;D ;D :D :)

when you get it, don't open the box... just slap my address on the box, and forward it over here! Would be pretty cool if you covered the shipping from your place to mine as well :)
