Front Rest Recommendations

I am beginning the process of choosing a Front Rest for general shooting and practice. I may compete one day but for now finances and experience are lacking. I would appreciate any helpful hints, reviews, and advise regarding front rest. Price is a concern but will spend extra for quality. After all I should only have to purchase one in my lifetime.

I'm sure others will mention the big name rests, but I'd like to mention the rests from Joe Cowan. In fact if you search here on this,http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek039.html) site you can find info and photo's, as well as the interesting story behind them. I like mine a lot, and the value was outstanding.

Ditto on the Cowan rest. I've had one for 5 yrs or so. Great workmanship at a great price. Make sure you get the windage top for it. Well worth the additional price.
