I Phone Listening?

Different subject... My beautiful wife of 21 yrs!!
She has iPhone I have Samsung. I found these in my work truck and in my personal truck. So I googled figured out what they were. I didn't say a thing, but everytime I went to work at night on a callout I would drive by here sisters house and drop it off by her mail box. It took 3 different times until Shi$$ hit the fan. Let's just say we had early 4th of July

Her sister was tracking you?

Do you use a windows or mac? Both are information highways back to their respective companies.

To the bigger topic:
GPS and usage/interaction data is small and information dense. Audio is probably the least information dense data for anyone to use for any purpose.
I use Windows and yes I know. For an average, boring, plain vanilla, pure as the driven snow boy scout like me, a security risk or a privacy risk is not a tremendous concern so at some point the easy route is, well, the easy way to go :) One may go to a Linux system or what ever but truthfully I kinda hate learning new things unless I have to!

And yes, GPS tracking, cell phone location via triangulation...remember “contact tracing” during the plandemic? By the way, speaking of cell phone tracking, it’s accurate enough to accuse and even convict individuals of crimes but somehow not accurate enough to prove ballot harvesting. Security cameras everywhere, doorbell cameras, license plate readers which not only identify but also store over the long-term information such as i.d., location, time, and develop patterns of movement. Facial recognition. Wholesale capture and permanent storage of internet data, e-mails, personal messages. We live in a surveillance state. Thank goodness we can trust the elites to use these powers only for good!

So after reading this I randomly talked for 45 minutes about wanting chocolate chip cookies and how I should order some and nothing. Probably a good thing because I prefer oatmeal raisin, lol

1) The only "surveillance" that happens is that which you explicitly agreed to when you installed and/or used a piece of software.
2) Surveillance is not the same as data mining.
3) If someone really wants to know about you they will use your credit card purchase history. It tells pretty much the story of everything that's important to you. It's the same as the "follow the money" quote only reversed.
4) To the original topic, the one guy with the longer well written reply's was spot on, there isn't any business around that is spending the hundreds of millions required to surveil you in an effort to sell you a 5 cent washer.

Odd, but this never happens to me. I don't carry my phone around a lot. I work at not using it much, block all spam as well as delete it, keep the GPS turned off, and when I get really tired of being spied on constantly, I drop it in one of these (and they really work). Go Dark Bag

My phone works when I allow it to - turning it off just isn't enough.

You obviously never heard of Carnivore, it was made illegal in the US, the government just changed the name, improved it x s 100 and kept on trucking. Basically what it does is takes multiple bits of information, puts the bits together and by deductive reasoning, comes to visit the bad guys at 3:00 AM. It is supposed to only be used on foreign soil.
The US uses it mostly overseas, legally, but if you are in contact with a known bad guy, you get on the "allowed" list in the US. It is an anti terrorist tool, that can so easily be abused.
Just for example: It might be used to influence elections, opinions, or control contributions.
On your cel phone, turn off the: Camera, microphone, location, all auto connects. Then take the chip out.
I turned off On Star in 2020, I still get an On Star notice on my truck. The data seekers never stop. Do you want to opt out....good luck, your fridge and washing machine are listening. Everything in the house is a data gathering device.

If my wife was tracking me, it'd prolly be like "Hey, when ya leave your girlfriends place, stop and pick up some milk on your way home.":rolleyes:jd
Something very close to this happened to me, a friend had a scanner that detects tracking devices and walked around my truck, found not 1, but 2 tags. Guess who now owns his own scanner.... and I no longer get "interesting inquiries" as to my whereabouts.

Seriously?

I know for a fact that they are listening and recording the data. The NSA has been talking about doing this for 30 years. This is nothing new. They changed the laws after 9/11 specifically so they could do it. And now these companies are building massive server farms so they can store all the data and sell it. A simple search on Google will show you that that is true.
show him your backyard in Pryor - Google Server Farm.

I have a very old Samsung Galaxy Note four , and my friends keep asking when I'm going to get a "modern" phone . I'M NOT ! I can turn off all the things that I choose to , and occasionally I notice things like "Location" , or WiFi turned on , and I turn them back off . When I want to go somewhere that I don't want anyone , including "Big Brother" knowing where I'm going , or who I'm seeing , I simply pop the case , and take the battery out . Now Track me . Am I doing anything illegal ? NO ! But that isn't the real issue , is it ?

Yeah well China is writing the books on how to invade peoples privacy. I recently saw a short video of a Chinese citizen, I mean subject, who was bound in a confining chair that was basically a cage. This poor guy is being grilled by two Chinese fascists asking why he was besmirching the local police on a social forum.

The fascist Demonrats have embraced the Chinese fascist totalitarian modus operandi.
