You can't go wrong with any of your options, like you said any would work. I've always been impressed with a fast moving .25 on deer. After having shot and hunted several 300 WSM's with 175's for 20 years I wanted something different so my last was a 300 SAUM (KW Rifles) and another 6.5x47L (Wheeler) matching hunting rifles. Almost did a 25X47L but also shoot LR for fun with the 6.5 and 140's. I like 30 calibers and will aways have one. As Alex suggested the 185 were gas and go.

Id run 168 vlds in a 7 saum. I have a lot of experiance with the saum case. You gain very little to nothing improving it. Its already a good design. Killed 4 elk with the 168 and every time it did the same thing. Great bullet.

Not sure what powder you use with that combination but I had wonderful results with H4831 and Berger classic hunter 168’s.

7 RSAUM, 20-22” bbl, 150gr Sciroccos or the 155gr Terminal Ascent. Perfect for extended PBR and longer (600 yd) performance. JMHO.

You could also load 185 bergers in a 300 saum and have the easiest tuning rifle there is. Its my favorite 600yd an in bullet in a wsm. Best combo I have found.

What freebore were you using for the 185juggs? .160? Thanks
