Very beautiful butch. Those rifles like that you have make me weak in the knees.

I've found a few #35s and set up the mill . Started one and realized I needed to modify the cross slot . Easy . I was looking for the one piece base but that's almost a lost cause . I think I found the target bases , need to measure to be sure .Well......not so pretty but I found some time to make a recoil pad fit the gun without changing the original stock. At least, it’s functional and it will be more comfortable to shoot.

Josh , I finished the weaver style bases and found the target bases . I'll be shipping Monday , if not sooner .Hi Gary: Thank you. With the cobbled together recoil pad done, all I need are bases! I have dies, brass, bullets and powder. I even found some factory ammo on sale at 50% off. I thought that was a good omen.![]()

why arent you putting that in a josh stock
Ok that sounds goodIt’s a matter of respect. That’s not a mass produced factory stock. Some very talented woodworker put a lot of time into it. He probably did the whole stock by hand, too. I have a Remington long action for a 30-06 build. That one will get one of my stocks. This one stays original.![]()

Oh my but I wouldn’t leave it in the corner I’d hang it on the wall. And BTW was that a typo about your Remington 700Think how I’d feel if you pulled my stock of your gun and just left it leaning in a corner.![]()
