I need help. I have an NXS ™ 12-42 × 56 RIFLESCOPE, which I use with satisfaction in FClass long distance 600/900 yards. But now I have started doing BR50 at 50 yards. And the viewer does not focus on me. I have to shoot at 25 magnifications to get nitty-gritty. I do not know, if it's something from my viewer or from the design. I have thought about replacing it with a GOLDEN EAGLE® HD 15-60X52. That focuses at 12 meters, and has something more increases. Has anyone tried both?

After removing my NXS 12-42X56 from my F-TR Match rifle, mounted it on a Ruger 10/22, which I use for very informal 50yard rimfire matches.
The Nightforce's minimum focus distance is 50 yards, which is a bit of a pain. The issue is that at these distances and magnification, the depth of field is non-existent. If it's not perfectly focused at higher magnifications, it's blurry.
I run mine at 30X. I also discovered that switching from 30X to 12X gave me significant POI shift. About 1.5 inch at 11 o'clock. Shot a few more rounds to verify (all at the same spot,) so I cranked back up to 30X and the subsequent shots went right back to where they were before. Not scientific, just an observation.
ETA: I have to stop posting when I'm in a hurry. I confused the reported power settings and have now fixed them.
