I have a Bat B bolt shroud/ cocking piece question

I have a faint squeak during bolt lift, after trying to lube every little surface where there might be contact i’m lost as to the cause.
Taking a picture of the bolt cocking piece I notice a tiny gap on one side of the shroud but not the other.
My question is whether this is normal or could this be a problem ? Does it need more clearance ?
Thanks
Jim

The slight gap between the cocking piece and the shroud is normal, something has to stop the shroud rotating when you open the bolt and the cocking piece is the only thing that will do that.
You do not want or need any more clearance than it already has.

Does the faint squeak happen after firing a round? Only when cycling the bolt on an empty chamber, or??

There are several things moving and rubbing against other surfaces when you are opening the bolt after firing, bolt lugs against lug abutments, cocking piece riding up the cocking cam slope, firing pin/spring assy moving rearward in the bolt body, the firing pin moving rearward in the cocking piece, the cocking piece rubbing against the cocking piece slot in the rear of the receiver and the cocking piece moving rearward against the shroud so a number of components are moving an rubbing against other components.

Which areas have you lubed?

Thank you, the faint squeak is noticed when cycling the open chamber at home.
I have added lube to every surface along the bolt, bolt lugs, cocking ramp, bolt handle to shroud, each area individually etc. it must be something internal. I’ll strip the bolt again and have a look.
