Hydro dipping… who does it?

XTR

F-TR obssessed shooting junkie
Don’t see any threads in the last 5 yrs or so. I’m sure I could set up to do it but not feeling it right now.

I’m looking for someone to dip and clear coat a Kelbly stock. Looking for reasonable turnaround. Recommendations?

I would start a search using the internet in your home state. If necessary, branch out to the northeast states. The search I did was brief but yielded several companies who were not accepting any work currently. I called a buddy who does hydrographics in the Midwest, he's working 12 hour days, six days a week currently. He can't find anyone responsible enough to work in this trade.

You wonder why there is a backlog with every supplier...:(

I won a Hydro-Dip job in a match and sent a rifle stock off to Hydro-Dip in Oregon many years ago. I had it done in dark walnut. To this day I use that rifle and people still think it’s a walnut stock although it is Fiberglas.

I've had Hydro Dip in Baker, Oregon do several for me...top notch, professional work that's very durable.

A local guy did this one for my 22BR Atlas:
