OK, thanks. I'm excited to get one for my 257 ackley. I really hate fireforming. Just seems like a waste of barrel life and components.

I just got off the phone with Ben at hornady. Nice guy but he said it would take up to 20 weeks for me to get the die. Does anybody have a 284 shehane hydraulic die I could borrow for a few days. I would be willing to give some money on top of shipping both ways.

I used Isopropanol, but water works just as well. If you use water make sure you flush the die out thoroughly with WD40 afterwards.

Wish I had gone with Whidden. Ordered through Hornandy the December 2nd and still waiting. It took close to 2 months just to get an email confirming my order.

No replies to email or messages before the confirmation or after. Never again.

54-55gr H4831SC and 180gr hybrids and you will shoot great fireform loads for mid-range local matches

6 Dasher...I can see why that makes more sense given how much the brass needs to blow out.

I emailed Whidden, asking about ordering a die. Not 30 minutes later, Carrie emailed me with instructions. they are starting a batch of custom dies on Mon. Great CS in my book!

For what it's worth I just received my Hornady dies May 15th.

I ordered them December 2nd.
