Hunting With A 6BR?

yukonal said:
Are any of you guys hunting with one?

I'm thinking of putting together a new rifle. For hunting from mule deer down...

If you guys can help me out with the barrel length, and choice of actions (please be specific Make and Model), I would appreciate it! ;) I'll also be shooting paper out to 600.

Reed, here's part of my original post. Yep, I'll be punching paper too. Alot more paper--than hair or fur! ;D

Shoot a 95g Nosler partition or a 100g Hornady BTSP and you are ready for any deer. I and friends have been this route. 100g Hornady BTSP will shoot 3/8" groups and the noslers 1/2" groups.

6mm is plenty for deer. Around here there are a few people who successfully down elk with a 243. [ I am not one]. I own 2-.243's. For hunting I use only one bullet. A 95 grain Nosler partition.. I have put many mule deer and antelope in the freezer using this bullet.

Anyone having problems with feeding your 6BR as a repeater? I heard it is difficult but a good gunsmith could make it work both smoothly along with being very reliable. Any details of yours feeding, problems issues and how it was built to suit a 6BR
