Hunter BR Scope?

Just saw the Daily Bulletin article on the sale priced Weaver T-10 scopes. The Bulletin is a great feature on this site and I read it regularly, however I have a question about the feature on the T-10 scope.

The Bulletin mentions that this scope would be great for the Hunter Benchrest competitor, but don't the rules limit scopes in this class to 6x, or am I missing something?

Yes HBR is limited to 6x scopes. The only game other I know that has a limit is ISSF at 10x.

I shot in a couple of HBR matches, your right most of them use 6x. They put me in "varmint class" since my scope power was 18x and my rifle was over the weight limit.

Besides the 6x scope, there is also a weight limit of 10 pounds
in Hunter Benchrest. If your rifle could make the weight and you had a scope,variable) that would go to 6x and tape it there you could have shot HBR and not Varmit class.

Sorry, I made an error in mentioning Hunter BR. It is indeed limited to 6X. There are some varmint and club matches which have a "factory" class which is limited to 10X scopes. But that's not an official class in IBS or NBRSA that I'm aware of.
