Yes, for anyone who knows Africa the idea the Ebola is a threat in Namibia because it is found in Sierra Leone is a joke. That's like worrying about malaria in Montana because it occurs in Brazil.

Cool chart Capt. Puts in it perspective for sure..

Very nice Waterbuck, and Zebra with a bow can be a challenge from what I've heard. Looks like very nice quality animals, I'm saving for a bow-hunting trip myself, do you separate the rifle and bow areas?

Spclark thanks for the link, that sounds suspiciously like what he had. He lost about 8 pounds in 6 days.
Scared the heck out of me!

I just called my doctor and left the link for her .

Yes we do only Bow hunting on our property, you will see a lot of animals on a ten day hunt and you will get a opportunity on at least 4-6 species!

If you want to really break the bank; one of the places that we were at had a couple of Black Impala's. I do not remember exactly what the trophy fee was, however it was expressed as a portion of a million dollars (US). ;D I was just privileged to see them through my binoculars. Most of the time though, we spent our time looking for a 15" Bushbuck for my hunting partner. To him, It was like getting a 200" whitetail. So we referred to the hunt as"Whitetail hunting". He did see several 13" Whitetails, but nothing he would shoot. "Oh well" maybe next time.

Due to these funny clown colors our local hunting prices are going through the roof...probably going to triple (at least) for next year on animals like impala and Blesbok. Normal female impala is already selling for 3times the price at auctions but "portion of a million dollars" is a bit much imo.

Saddelback or what ever these things are called Blesbok

Copper springbok (actually not to bad at all)

Pretty soon well be hunting Sable instead of Impala

I absolutely agree. I paid a heavy trophy for my Cape Buffalo. I really enjoyed my trips there and getting that Old Dagga-Boy filled my bucket list for Africa. Three of us are headed to Argentina in February to shoot doves. My best buddy turns 84 next summer and we want to take the trip while he still can. Here we are at Los Chanaras in 2009.
