Hugh Williamson precision barrels

Found a good deal (If they shoot) on 4 groove HW precision 8 twist 6 mm heavy varmints that will finish at 28 inches.

Planning on trying them on one of my 600 yard light guns in 6BRA. Anyone using these barrels with good results.

I know of 3 people shooting Hugh's barrels, two .30brs and a 6PPC, my next blank will be one, being local is just an added bonus. Not to mention that Hugh is a more than capable SR group competitor, you won't be disappointed in that purchase. I was about to order a 6 mil. from him last spring but bumped into a Bartlein for a price that was just too good to pass on, that fellow sold it to buy one from Hugh.

I took a leap of faith on my Hugh’s barrels order due to his short range success. I don’t know of anyone using his barrels for LR bench. Also his short range barrels are cut rifling and faster twist barrels are button.

I ordered some long and Short range barrels from Hugh at the Tac Driver. Really looking forward to shooting them.

Just curious as to how the prices of these barrels compare to the US makers and is there any issues or additional costs for getting them into this country?

I wonder how you'll actually get anything gun related from Canada.
My last couple orders from Canadian vendors ended up with my stuff supposedly locked up in border warehouses. Around $10k lost for me..

I've shot Hugh's barrels in both short range benchrest (6 ppc) and F-Class 6 Dasher and have had good luck with them.

I know this is an old thread but I recently acquired a HWP blank 1-7.5 heavy varmint 6mm and am looking to chamber in 6BRA……all I have ever shot are cut rifled and understand this one to be button rifled…..curious if you had good luck out of the ones your purchased or should I just pick up a Kreiger, bartlein, etc and not waste my time with the HWP?

Any insight you would be willing to share would be appreciated.
