I am pretty new to the Wildcat thing. Currently I own a Remington Model 700 VS chambered in .243 AI. It is sporting the Factory 26' 1 in 9.125 twist barrel. It like bullets from 65 gr. to 95gr with 75 gr V-max being the best so for. I want to go heavier, 105 gr to 115.
Im looking at a 28' 1 in 8' twist 4 groove Pac-Nor BBl. Will this barrel be a good choice for launching larger pills? And will it still shoot the light stuff with good results? Currently the rifle loves a 75 Gr. V-max pushed by 48.5 grains of H414. That combo shoots under 1/4' and flat lays the smack down on Gray Diggers and Coyotes.
My rifle is not a bench gun, It gets used for hunting. I plan on using it for everything from small varmints to deer and pronghorns.
Opinions please.
