6BRA barrel advice ?

I have a couple 6mm 4 groove 28” Bartlein barrels on hand, I’m thinking of trying one chambered for a 6BRA. What are the thoughts from the forum members here on this build ? Sorry I forgot to mention they are 1:10 twist. I will be using this rifle for 600 yard bench rest shooting.

1:10 twist and shooting 600 yard bench rest.

I believe the winners shoot 103 to 108 Gr bullets. Your 10 twist wouldn't stabilize these. Not that you couldn't drop back to 90 Gr and have a ball.

I don’t think a 10 twist will be ideal for 600 yards if you intend to be competitive.

Twist rate on that barrel is your limiting factor, at 600 yards I'd prefer to be running 103s or heavier, but that's just me.

You will want to get an 8 twist. The cut 4 grooves are by far the most popular. Not to say you couldnt come up with a winning combo in your 10 twist but you would be taking the hard way. Start with whats winning currently and pick up some Vapor trails, Roy Hunters, or Barts Bullets. Dont make it hard on yourself, theres enough learning curve as it is.
