They can be shaped like mickey mouse, as long as they're all shaped the same, and there are 3,4, or 6 of them, they wont push the reamer around like it's in a mosh pit.I also see some interesting shaped rifling in six groove barrels. It's almost trapezoid shaped. I guess that occurs mainly in button barrels. That makes uneven rifling ends as well.

I bet they are cut even. The odd shape of the land gives the appearance that it’s not even.
