I also see some interesting shaped rifling in six groove barrels. It's almost trapezoid shaped. I guess that occurs mainly in button barrels. That makes uneven rifling ends as well.

They can be shaped like mickey mouse, as long as they're all shaped the same, and there are 3,4, or 6 of them, they wont push the reamer around like it's in a mosh pit.

Looks like you might have to swear off all 5 groove barrels if things are that bad. I'd be looking at my setup if I was getting that much deflection using a form tool.

Yes but the ends often won't evenly cut if they are oddly shaped.

Friend of mine sent me this video a few yrs ago. Fired brass would extract normally, but it would stick if you tried to re-chamber it and come back out with 5 symmetrical marks around the neck. If you measured the nk, it was .273 over a mark and .272 in-between them.
