Huge Shout Out

Mike in Oregon

Gold $$ Contributor
I want to take the time to thank the following for taking me by the hand and guiding me through this wildcat thing with both the 20VT and 20P. They all took time out of their schedules to explain in great detail the does and don'ts and what to expect with these two cartridges. So, in no particular order, a HUGE shout out to the following;

-TheCZKid
-L.Sherm
-Rick in Oregon

And everyone one else that PM'ed me. This board rocks!!!

Mike I can confirm that some of these folks also guided me in my midst custom barrel for my 204R. They have much more shooting time then me that I felt confident with my decision.
Now I’m pondering taking a trip to a rat patch in your neck of the woods while my friends dad is still able to shoot

Thanks Mike. I'm sure both Sherm and Doug feel as I, that sharing experience with a "worthy" shooter helps both him and all of us in general. You're off to a good start, and the sage rats will soon feel the bite of that Stiller/Pac-Nor 20VT, but won't appreciate the smile on the owners face. ;)

Good times ahead, my friend!

Will be even better in the rat patch sir! ;)
Mike,

You are soooo right. I don't think most folks East of us realize how hot Sage Rat fields can get at times! Last week I made a three day trip out (shot two half days and one full day). Ended up just shooting my FX .25 caliber Wildcat (had the .20 Mink and .20 VT with me, but never took them out of the case). The .25 caliber Air Rifle knocks the stuffing out of a Sage Rat!

The field was full of rats close in (less than a 100 yds). On the full day shot over 400 pellets. 600+ pellets for the trip. 80% + kill ratio. Longest kill was a first shot at 115 yds. At $.04/pellet very economical way to shoot!. Man...I like air gun shooting!!

You're welcome. And welcome back.
