I just returned last night from a great trip and wanted to give a shout out for a wonderful time I had with my friend Bob "The Viper" Pastor.
Many of you know Bob Pastor. If you don't, you should go check out his site www.viperbench-rest.com.
Some time ago Bob invited me up to his place to do some learning about lathe work, turning, chambering, etc. I finally was able to get a trip on the calendar and make it happen and it was a wonderful experience. Bob has a knack for teaching and is quite possibly one of the funniest people I have ever met. Not to mention he is an incredible craftsman.
So, if you are looking for a new rifle rest to shoot off of or needing a rifle chambered I recommend you give him a shout. His rests are incredible, I should know as both Heidi and me have examples of his art. And his attention to detail makes his chamber work second to none in my opinion.
In all, I had a great time and learned many things that will cross over to pistol work in the future here at CCP!
Oh ya, and I got my new rifle with three barrels chambered in .260AI...he calls the gun "Pinky" due to the stock...
