Orignally was a HTR, Heavy Tactical Rifle and was going to put it in a chassis….. one of those projects I never got around to finishing and now I’ve switched over to Zermatt actions so I can do the barrel swaps myself. There’s 200-300 rounds through the barrel. Barrel is 308 Win 24” and 1:12 twist. Shoots lights out with 168gr Gold Medal match. Will fit a 700 SA stock or chassis but will need the left side of the stock relived for the bolt release. $800 shipped to your FFL.

For a custom action how does it measure up to defiance or similar in finish and precision

I’ve never played with a Defiance. Currently running a TL3, Origin, Solus, and just picked up a CDG but haven’t had a chance to play with it yet. HS is supposed to run very tight tolerances and I was shooting 5 shot groups with 168gr Gold Medal around .3-.4” at 100yds. Can’t say it’s definitely nicer than the Zermatt‘s but it’s nicer than the Solus.

Thank you for the info. I have a 260 Remington in the same action chambered by South Dakota Customs. Going to work on a load and Have high hopes for accuracy

I am surprised this is still here.
For those of you who think HS Precision is just a stock maker, go check them out.
They make everything in house with the exception of springs. They make top of the line stuff!

I’m in the process of consolidating and want to be able to rebarrel myself. TL3, Origin and Solus and CDG gives me the option of picking up prefit savage small shank since those always seem to pop up on sale which is helpful when a couple of them are 6mm creed.
