HS Precision Magazine Conversion

Does anyone have any experience of the HS Precision 5/10 shot magazine conversion for a Remington 700 action? I was thinking of getting one and wondered of the build quality and reliability.

I've been using the HS system on a Surgeon 308 for a few years now. I had an initial bad 10 rounder that was replaced. The mags have worked fine for me. Many people in the tactical crowd seem to prefer the Badger Ordnance system which uses the AICS mags. Those mags are reported to be more durable, but like I said, I haven't had any issues with my HS mags yet. Haven't dropped them either. But anyway, the system is pretty good. HTH

I have an HS Precision 10rnd DM. I haven't mounted it yet but it seems like kinda a loose fit in the mag well. Is that the problem you had? It also looks like the badger ord mags are close enough in design to fit in the HS kit. what do you guys think?

The mags used in the Badger system will not work with the HS system. The Badger system uses the AICS mags while HS uses their own and they have a different lock up. The problem I had with my mag was the top round would nose-dive in the mag. Made it unable to strip off the top of the mag. Faulty spring maybe, not sure. Yes, my mag sits in there kinda loose, but it hasn't been a problem with the new mag and I've had it since 2004ish.
