That factory howa throat isn't going to probably be chase-able inside a 2.825" COAL. Their factory throats are kinda (well... super) long. Have to be to make sure that they can eat any factory load you can stuff in it, even those with heavy round nose bullet profiles which require football field length throats. If you find down the road 500-1000 rounds that it won't group anymore you can have the barrel set back and rechambered with a reamer meant to give .010 jumps at 2.8" COAL. Then you'll be able to shoot that bad boy for another good long time (~.120") while being able to actually chase the throat and not grow longer than the mag. Thanks for your reply, good looking rifle!
I just tried a magpul mag and it didn't work so kinda figured it was proprietary. My wife just bought one and we ran some test loads through it yesterday however, this thing shoots so well there's no point chasing the lands with a longer mag if I've gotta go thru the bottom metal route. She shot 2 groups yesterday one was 5/16" and the other was 3/8" @100.
Sure appreciate your input
Thanks
